1963 Structo No. 503 Cattle Transport Truck In Sealed Box
Pressed steel Structo Cattle Transport Truck in extraordinary unopened factory sealed box. Produced nearly half a century ago, but only recently discovered as part of an attic find several months ago. Originally purchased by grandparents for their visiting grandchildren it was stored, never played with, and forgotten. The truck itself was a newly redesigned cab-over engine style with interior seat and steering wheel. Like their earlier model, I believe it contains plastic cattle, but I'm not positive. It has an illustration of the truck on both endflaps and all main panels except one. The catalog number and name was also included. The box is primarily white, but has darkened slightly from age. One panel has a small white sticker with the original $3.99 price, stock number, and name written in blue ink. Both endflaps have all of their factory sealing staples securely in place. It does make some jostling noise when you turn it upside down, but this is the way it was packed at the factory. Size: 21" x 8¼" x 6½". Date Sold: Sept. 2010
